Postgraduate Programmes (IME 4-6/7)
Suitably qualified candidates are able to undertake a number of postgraduate programmes validated by either Leeds or York St John Universities and designed principally with the newly ordained in mind. Learning will draw upon and relate to curates’ current experience within their title parishes to facilitate structured theological reflection and sound ministerial practice.
Two modules, ‘Church in Local Context’ and ‘Leadership and Change in the Church’, provide the core for all programmes when students registered with Leeds and York St John come together for shared learning at centres in Mirfield and York.
YMC’s IME 4-7 provision has been developed in close consultation with diocesan officers responsible for the newly-ordained. It aims to build upon the learning undertaken in IME 1-3 and to reinforce the approach to ministerial training and formation enshrined within YMC’s provision for those preparing for ordination.
As with IME 1-3, there are Two Standard Pathways, Pathway 1 via Leeds and Pathway 2 via York St John
