Where does it happen?

The first thing to say is that YMC does not require you to relocate or give up your current employment (unless you choose to do so). These remain constants during training, as does being rooted in your ‘home’ church. The course is designed to integrate with your existing commitments which, in different ways, contribute to your learning and formation.

Principal components are delivered on weekday evenings (a Tuesday or a Wednesday from 18.45 to 21.00 for those on Pathway 1), weekend study days and residentials and an annual residential Easter school, as well as through tutorial supervisions and placements. For those opting for intensive programmes, these elements are supplemented by weekday teaching. For all, significant time needs to be set aside for home study.

Residentials are hosted in venues throughout Yorkshire with weekly teaching sessions held in various centres around the county (currently York St John University, Bradford,  Wakefield and Mirfield).depending on where you live and which YMC learning pathway you are undertaking
